Known properties : Traditionnally used in Western Herbalism for colds, flus and fevers because of its diaphoretic or sweat-inducing properties.
Contains : Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) (flower), ratio 1:5, purified water, 27% natural grain alcohol.
Description : Tonic, antispasmodic, hemostatic and, in external use, healing, it was used to treat general fatigue, status lymphaticus, digestive and uterine spasms, neuroses, circulation and fifties disorders (which may be roughly the same) : physical inactivity, varix, phlebitis and hemorrhoids. Externally, it was used against rheumatic pains, skin diseases, leg ulcers, cracked nipples and cellulite pains.
But it is maybe for women with both menstrual pain and digestive disorders during menstruation that yarrow flower would be the most useful. It is rare, in fact, that a drug treats both problems of the genital area and those of the digestive system so efficiently. Taken under tincture form, it will quickly calm the inflammation, as well as thi detestable impression that the uterus and intestines are fiercely competing to attract and retain all the attention or their rightful owners.
Recommended dosage : 1 teaspoon 3 times daily between meals.
Cautions and warnings : Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight as this product may increase sensitivity. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if an allergic or sensitivity reaction develops. Do not use with thujone containing herbs. Consult a health care practitioner if using antacids, anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs, barbiturayes, h2-blockers and proton pump inhibitors (PPls).
