Known properties : Traditionally used to help the treatment of constipation.
Contains : Turkey rhubarb (Rheum palmatum), ratio 1:5, purified water, 27% natural grain alcohol.
Description : Native from China and Tiber, rhubarb is considered the most widely used purgative plant. Its gentle action allows it to be given to children. Paradoxically, it is laxative at high dose and is astringent at low dose, which can rapidly expel the irritating substances from the body without causing inflammation of the intestinal mucosa.
This plant is effective against staphylococcus aureus, pathogenic bacteria responsible for mouth ulcers, so we can use it in mouthwash. It promotes the flow of gastric juices and bile which aids digestion.
Recommended dosage : 1 tsp 2 times daily or as recommended by your health care practitioner.
Cautions and warnings : Do not use for children, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, in cases of intestinal obstruction and/or abdominal pains.
Adverse reactions : May cause stomach pain, diarrhea or uterine contractions.
