Description : Horsetail is rich in silica and selenium. Silica helps regenerate connective tissues and cartilage like tendons (cartilage forms the main bulk of joints). It helps to speed up healing of connective tissues, to improve their strength and elasticity.

The horsetail is an excellent coagulant agent, it stops nosebleeds and reduces the frequency of spitting blood.

This plant is also prescribed to treat arthritic problems, swollen legs, respiratory diseases like emphysema. Its diuretic action is due to its high content in potassium and flavonoids. It acts as a drainer to treat urinary infections and urinary tract inflammations.

Horsetail increases the number of white blood cells and improves resistance of connective tissues, hence its efficacy in rheumatic affections. It is used to strengthen nails and hair, as well as prevent bone loss or to help the healing of sprains or fractures. The silica content of this plant would facilitate the binding of calcium in bones.

The absorption of horsetail allows the body to expel impurities of all kinds, including heavy metals and other pollutants from the intestines, kidneys, skin and lungs.

Recommended dosage : 2 teaspoons 2 times daily or as recommended by your health care practitioner.
